I hope everybody had a nice Valentine’s
Day and survived our mini nor’easter. For those that
didn’t get a chance to go out and our celebrating this
weekend we still have some beautiful bouquets and a
great selection of Valentine wines. In continuing with
our value wines for this time of year we’ve brought in 2
new lines of wine at great price points. The 1st
is a wine called Forestville. It is made by the Forest
Glen people but I actually think it is better. I used
to sell this wine when I worked for Classic Wines and
would crank through it. We will have these at an
introductory sale price of $5.99. Again this isn’t a
high end complex wine but true to the varietals and a
great middle of the week value wine.
We have 6 varietals Chardonnay, Cabernet,
Merlot, Pinot Grigio, Shiraz, and Zinfandel. The next
line is from the Jewel Collection. They have a
delicious Un-Oaked Chardonnay and a Viognier for whites.
Cabernet, Merlot, Old Vine Zinfandel, and a yummy Petite
Sirah make up the reds. These wines drink like $15
bottles but will have a sale price of $8.99. For those
that have been waiting for the Alamos Viognier it is
back in stock and we’ve brought in a new varietal called
Bonarda to add to that mix. I don’t have anybody
scheduled for this Friday night but I would happy to pop
any of these wines for you to taste.
Not too much new on the brew front. We
do have new Spring beers arriving every week. Including
Sierra Nevada IPA which now comes in a 12 pack for the 1st
time. The Sam Adams Longshot which was 1 of the big
hits at the Super Brew II tasting is back in stock.
OK, I’m going to try a little experiment
here. For those still reading the e-mail and haven’t
fallen asleep yet (I know it’s 1 of my weaker ones for
humor) we are going to have a secret sale. Buy any 6 of
the large format beers (Stone, Lindemans, Ommegang, you
know the ones) and either tell the cashier or show this
e-mail and you will get 20% off the 6 bottles. There is
normally 10 % off on a mix 6 so you will double your
savings.
Alright while I’m at it I have a few
ideas or ideas presented to me by a few a customers that
I would like to gauge your interest in. How many of you
would be interested in a wine dinner at one of our local
restaurants? Anysuggestions on which restaurants would
work? I had one planned for La Donna’s but they closed…hmmmm…
wonder if the new bank would let us grill in the parking
lot? I’ve had a few requests for a “singles” wine
event. I’m not sure how that would work but sounds like
fun. I’ve tried to make these e-mails very informal but
seldom, if ever get responses back except for the please
remove from future e-mail requests! So let’s try to
make this more interactive and let me know some of your
ideas.
Thanks!
