I would like to thank all of you who
attended our Super Brew II tasting on Saturday. It was
a huge success and a lot of fun for us here at Cork’s.
I hope you had a chance to sample some new and different
beers and load up for the Super Bore game. I just have
1 question for those who did attend. What the heck
happened to all the pizza?!? The last 2 huge party
pizzas went in less that 5 minutes, and my brother Tom
wasn’t even at the event. We do have a few extra loose
bottles from the tasting and oddball beers hanging
around so we have our make your own 6 pk for 5 buck
special again. Please only the beers on the back table
and hurry in for the best selection.
While we’re on the subject of big
tastings we will be having our huge spring wine tasting
on March Friday March 23rd from 5-8 PM. This will be
our first grand tasting on a weeknight rather a Saturday
afternoon and I’ll be interested in the turnout and your
feedback. It will feature between 75 to 100 wines and
is a perfect opportunity to try some new wines and stock
up for Easter which is on April 8th this
year. I’ll fill you in with the details as we get
closer to the event.
I’m really looking forward to the tasting
this Friday from 4 to 7 PM. For the regular e-mail
readers you know I rave about the Cono Sur Pinot Noir.
It is an incredible value at $9.99 and is just
delicious. Well we’ve brought most of the lineup from
this Chilean producer in and will be sampling them this
Friday. Sauvignon Blanc, Viognier, and Riesling for the
whites. Pinot Noir, Carmenere, and Cabernet make up the
reds. As with all our tastings you will receive a 10%
discount on anything we taste that night.
We also have a yummy port wine that is
infused with chocolate called Desiree. This will make
agreat Valentine gift for that special someone. I’d be
more than happy to open this wine on Saturday or any day
leading up to Valentine’s Day if you would like to try
it. Speaking of Valentine’s Day, we have a selection of
Red and Rose wines featured on our front display area
that would make nice gifts. We also have a huge
selection of Champagne and Ports that your sweetheart
will love. We’re also going to start selling flowers
this weekend. We will have single roses for Valentines
and Bouquets for any occasion. If they go well we will
continue to bring them in on the weekends.
I hope you all have a great Valentine’s
Day and stay warm.
Thanks!
Robert
