Welcome Cork’s weekly newsletter.
Well the Redsox wine tasting was a huge success. We have
pre-sold all of the wine we are
supposed to receive sounless they up our order we will
no longer be taking orders for these wines. I hope
Charlotte (the lucky winner of our Sox tix) enjoys the
game and the rest of you had fun at the tasting.
Tonight’s beer tasting is with Mark from Smuttynose. He
will sample you on the Shoals Pale Ale, Old Brown Dog
Ale, IPA, Robust Porter, Hanami Ale, Portsmouth Lager
and their Summer Weizen. We do very well with these
beers and this is a great opportunity to sample some of
the flavors you haven’t tried yet. The tastingis from
4:30 to 7:30 PM and as always you will receive 10 % off
any Smuttynose products that evening.
Just back from her trip to Italy Nicole
from Arborway Wines will be here for Fridays wine
tasting from 4 to 7 PM. We will start with a couple of
French wines first then move on over to Italy for the
rest. First up is a delicious true French White Burgundy
called Fernand-Vergelesses. Next up is Domaine Clavel
which is a Rose from the Languedoc.
In case you haven’t seen a trend I’m determined to turn
you folks on to “real” blush wines. So with that in mind
we have the new addition to the Zaccagnini line (the
wines with the twig on the bottle). Yes, it’s the
Zacagnini Montepulciano Rose. I’ve yet to try it myself
but we sell a boatload of the regular Montepulciano so I
think this will be a hit. We will also sample the
Manzone Dolcetto D’Alba, and last but not least the
always popular La Morandina Moscato D’Asti.
We are still making plans for our 1st annual Customer
Appreciation Day. We have picked thedate
which will be Saturday, July 14th from 1 to 4 PM. We
will have hamburgers and hot dogs as well as a couple of
beer tables and a few wine reps here to taste you on
some great summer wines. We will also have raffles and
giveaways so be sure to save the day on your calendar.
Be sure to check the website (corksfinewine.com) for
updates on this and all the upcoming events here at
Cork’s.
