Cork's Weekly Newsletter

May 30 2007

Welcome to Cork’s weekly newsletter.  We are just less than week away from the release of the Redsox wines.  The tasting is for next Friday from 4 to 7 PM and should be lots of fun.  We will be having a lottery for red-hot Redsox tickets that night as well.  I’ve listed a few of the rules below.

First off these are 2 tickets in the State Street Pavilion Box.  These tix come with waitress service, are $85.00 each and are excellent seats.

1.  You must come to Cork’s to help launch the new Redsox Wines tasting that is Friday night June 8th from 4:00 to 7:00 pm

2. You are allowed only 1 entry form per person that is over 21 years of age.

3. Sorry Michelle…no employees or family members are eligible.

4. You must wear something Redsox to the tasting…hat…t-shirt…jersey…underwear…something with the Redsox logo on it.

5. Yankee fans are not eligible and will be scorned and ridiculed.

6. You do not have to be here to win but do have to be here sometime between 4 and 7.

7. The drawing will be at 7 PM at the end of the tasting

8. We will also have other Sox items to give away as consolation prizes.

This weeks beer tasting (Thursday from 4:30 to 7:30 PM) we will be sampling the outstanding beers from Longtrail Brewing Co. Scott will be pouring the Altbier, IPA, Hit the Trail Ale, Double Bag, and the summer seasonal Blackberry Wheat.  You can purchase the Summer Survival 12 pack for a taste of all these delicious Vermont Brews.  As with all our tastings you will receive a 10 % discount on anything you sample that evening.

Friday’s wine tasting is with our friend Carmen from Café Europa.  He has an excellent portfolioand we will be sampling some of their best wines.  Anne Amie Pinot Gris and Pinot Noir our delicious wines from the Willamette Valley region of Oregon.  Next up is Ramblin White and Ramblin Red.  These are well made blends and great value wines at 2 for $20.  Klassen Merlot is one of the best Merlots I’ve tasted in some time.  Rounding out the lineup is Flying Cloud Cabernet from Paso Robles and is just yummy. Click on the links to learn more about these outstanding that wines that we will taste Friday night from 4 to 7 PM.
