I’d like to thank all of you who attended our Super
Brew III Beer Tasting. It was our biggest tasting
to date here at Cork’s, almost too crowded at some
points but lots of fun. I think next years Super
Bowl tasting will be on the Saturday before (the bye
week) so it does not interfere with our regular busy
day before the game. We are mulling a few other
ideas to help alleviate the congestion and I welcome
any of your ideas and suggestions.
We
will not be having any tastings this week as we
recover from the post game malaise. Plus it is
notoriously a very slow time for the next few
weeks. This will give us an opportunity to
reconfigure the store and make some room for the
distilled spirits which we’re hoping are just a week
or two away from arriving. We’re just waiting for
state approval by the ABCC and as soon as we do
we’ll be in the liquor biz. We will be closing out
a bunch of wines so keep an eye on “Ted’s Bottom
Shelf Specials” on the website (corksfinewine.com)
for clearance pricing on tons of wines.
Woohoo!!...just 1 more week till pitchers and
catchers report to spring training as the Sox look
to defend their World Series Championship. Speaking
of championships it looks like the Celtics are on
pace to make a run at their 17th banner.
Even the Bruins are in the playoff hunt for the 1st
time in a few years. Lets see Sox, Celtics, Bruins
seems like I’m missing a team… hmmmm…oh yea…
duh…football…We’re just 2 month’s away from the
Boston Militia opening their Independent Women’s
Football League season! Cork’s will be a sponsor in
their inaugural season and the only place in the
area where you can get tickets to the IWFL games.
