Welcome to Cork’s weekly newsletter 1 day early.
I’ll be taking a little vacation time so I thought I
would get the newsletter out before I go. There won’t be
any tastings until next Saturday, August 9th when we
have our 2nd Annual Customer Appreciation Day. I’ve got
most of the lineup set for the event as we try to get
you a smorgasbord of wine, beer, and yes even liquor to
go with those steaks and lobsters…ummm OK burgers and
dogs.
We have Tom (he ain’t heavy he’s my brother) from
Carolina donning his Speedo once again and sampling you
on a new line of wines called Festival 34. He will also
have UV Blue Raspberry and Pink Lemonade Vodka. Jaime
from MS Walker will be tasting you on the Hogue wines
from Washington State and Four Vines Zinfandel and Naked
Chardonnay. He says he wants to go naked behind the back
tasting area since Tom was in a Speedo but we had to put
the kibosh on that idea. And for the guys we have a
supermodel in a bikini who will be pouring the new wines
from Pannotia Vineyards.
On the beer side we have Vinny and the Bud girls
sampling Redhook, Shock Top Wheat Beer, and Wild Blue
Lager. They will also have the ready to drink
Margaritaville flavors and Margaritaville Tequilla.
Kristen from L. Knife will have the crazy microbrew cans
from Oscar Blues featuring the the new Gordon Beer and
Ten Fidy. We also have the 4 flavors of Leinenkugel
representing which are great for the summer. The BBQ
wouldn’t be complete without inviting our neighbors from
Narragansett Brewing Co. to round out the beer portion
of the event.
In addition to the UV and Margaritaville we will also
have the outstanding flavored vodkas from Triple 8 out
of Nantucket. You have to try the vanilla bean it is the
best vodka I’ve ever tasted. They also have a Hurricane
Rum and Gayle Force Gin to close things out.
We’re still working on raffle items but so far we have a
Coors Light Grill, a Coors double beach chair with a
cooler in the middle, a Bud Light lounge chair, Sam
Adams Patio Umbrella and lots more. We will have tons of
t-shirts…hats...pint glasses…key chains and other crap
to give away as well. Be sure to check the website
(corksfinewine.com) for more info as we get more info on
the event. Don’t forget that Don is a wizard on the
grill and is always looking for special orders to
challenge his grilling skills. This was a blast last
year and gives us a chance to thank you for being loyal
Cork’s customers.
