Woohoo! The Patriots kick-off their
pre-season against the Saints tonight, and
we already have about a dozen
Oktoberfest/Autumn beers already in stock!
We have a display in the front of the store
and even more in the cold box. We will be
adding to the list and if there is a fall
beer out there…we will have it here at
Cork’s. If you have a favorite and don’t
see it here, please ask and we will bring it
in. Don’t forget Cork’s 6th
Annual Kick-Off Beer Tasting is just about a
month away on Saturday September 11th
from 2:30 to 5 PM. We had a beer tasting
lined up with my cousin Vinnie for tonight,
but we’ve had to reschedule until a later
date in September.
We do have Kat & Dani on Friday the 13th
to do a creepy customer wine tasting from
4:30 to 7 PM. They have a mixture of
“Bloody Good” wines…some of their
favorites…and some mysterious and fun labels
as well. They will start with Mumm Napa
Cuvee M Sparkling Wine.

And if you dare, they will add a dash of Campari
to add a “Bloody Twist” to it. Next is their
favorite white wine in the store, Sunday
Mountain Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand. Next
we travel to Australia for the “Haunting” labels
of Innocent Viognier and the Guilty Shiraz. Off
to South Africa for Mulderbosch Cabernet
Sauvignon Rose. This wine has a cool cigar
label and is a great, fuller bodied Rose wine
for the summer. Back to Australia with Misfit
Wines, we have Cycle Buff Beauty Shiraz Malbec
blend. This is a big, dark, brooding full
bodied wine, and has a couple of scantily clad
women being chased by a motorcycle gang. I
don’t know why, but I thought Dani would be a
fan of this wine. They will end with a
delicious dessert wine called Patrizi Moscato
D’Asti. I hear they going to have a “Friday the
13th theme going on, and some food to match
their favorite creepy wines so stop on by and
check it out.
