Welcome to Cork’s weekly
newsletter. How about those Celtics!! Up 2-0…
and looks like they are on their way to the NBA
Finals once again. Too bad the B’s choked away
their bid for the Cup, or we would have had 2
teams in the Eastern Finals. And the Sox…they
just wallow away at .500 with a less than
interesting or inspiring team in my opinion.
Speaking of the Sox, we did get the
ZinfandEllsbury Charity wine in. Unfortunately
the Chardon-K was backordered and will not be in
till next week.
After our 2 beer tastings last
week, we will take this Thursday off from the
beer tasting schedule. But we do have Cisco
Brewers lined up for next week. My cousin
Vinnie will be here sampling some fine Bud
microbrews on June 10th, Clipper City
on the 17th, and Newport Storm June
24th. Be sure to check out Genesee
Cream Ale, Light and Ice 30 packs. We have them
discount priced at $15.99 plus deposit. These
old school beers are popular with people from my
Dad…who is 85 and let’s phrase this
nicely…frugal… to the college crowd who can
score a 30 rack for well under 20 bucks!

We do have our friend Johny Pesky
from Trio Wines here this Friday from 4:30 to 7
for a wine tasting. He will have Dilupo Pinot
Grigio to start you off with. Next up is a new
addition to the Bianchi lineup, Sauvignon
Blanc. I have not been disappointed in any of
the other varietals in the Bianchi family, and
he will also have the Bianchi Zinfandel for you
to try. Next up is a delicious red blend called
Red X from X Winery.
We travel to Australia next for
Shingleback Cabernet. This wine is from another
outstanding producer and the Cab is new to us
here at Cork’s. We will finish with the newest
edition to the Ed Hardy lineup, and that is
Lambrusco. At the risk of losing my credibility
on these reviews, this is NOT from an
outstanding producer and is probably a very
mediocre wine in an artsy tattooed bottle.
Having said that…there is a call for these
sweet, chillable reds in the hot summer months
and will probably outsell all the other wines at
the tasting combined….go figure!
