Woohoo!!...I know most of you think I’m excited for the Patriots making it to the Super Bowl.  Well yes of course I am but I have even more exciting news for us here at Cork’s.  We were approved for our full liquor license last night!  So in the very near future we will able to sell distilled spirits in addition to beer & wine.  We would like to thank you all for your signatures and letters of support that helped make this possible.  We don’t have an exact date yet but I would guess we will start carrying liquor in 3 to 6 weeks.  We will keep you updated on the website (corksfine.com) and in future newsletters.

 

Let us not forget that the Super Brew III beer tasting is right around the corner.  It is the day before the Super Bowl on Saturday, February 2^nd from 2 to 5 PM.  We’ve added a bunch of brand new beers for this event.  Here are just a few of the new additions.  Hook & Ladder…Grolsch 5 liter mini kegs…Tiger Beer…Bacardi Pomegranate…Victory…Cricket Hill…Pennichuck…Sam Adams Irish Red…Dixie…Otter Head…Buzzard’s Bay…Shipyard…Seadog…Harpoon Cider…and last but not least a concoction of Bud Light/clam juice/tomato juice called Chelada….mmmmm  mmmm good!  We will lay low on the regular Thursday night beer tastings until after the big event.

 

I was debating whether to have a wine tasting this Friday night or not but after the exciting news we received we just have to.  So I invite all of you to come celebrate with us on Friday night with some Champagne!  I’m not sure if we will be popping any Cristal but I’m sure we will have something good.  I’ll even mix in a couple of wines and maybe a good Port to cap the evening.

 

These are exciting times for us here at Cork’s with Easter coming early our 3^rd Annual Grand Spring Wine Tasting will be on Wednesday, March 12^th from 5 to 8 PM.  This will be our 1^st midweek tasting so be sure to mark the date on your calendars.  If all goes well we should have our liquor by then and we can now be your 1 stop package store.  Thanks again for all of your support.
