Cork's Fine Wine & Liquors, LLC Newsletter
Mansfield, MA
Welcome to the 1st
Cork’s newsletter of 2008,
I hope you all had a good New Years.
It always amazes me how last minute and how much
Champagne we sell leading up to
New Years. What an
incredible Patriot game last week on their way to their
perfect season and Super Bowl. This reminds me that we
are less than a month away from Super Brew III. This is
one of the 2 huge beer tastings we do each year. It will
be on Saturday, February 2nd from 2 to 5 PM. This is the
day before the Super Bowl and a great chance to try some
new beers and to stock up for the big game. Be
sure to check the website (corksfinewine.com) for
details and updates as the event drawers closer.
We are going to take this week off from beer and wine
tastings. It’s just very slow this time of year as I’m
sure most of you have beer and wine left over from the
holidays. Plus the Cork’s stock crew is going to the
Bruins game tonight and won’t be around for the tasting.
Did anybody see that crazy outdoor hockey game in a
blizzard before
72,000 fans in Buffalo? That was just wild. OK that
covers me for '08 with my 1 hockey reference.
We will be shifting to our new Winter Hours here at
Cork’s. Sunday will remain the same from noon to 5 PM.
Monday through Saturday we will now open at 10 AM and
close at 9 PM.
We’re going to take the mystery out of this week’s
mystery discount. Although we sold a bunch of sparkling
wine for the holidays we still have quite a bit left
over. So we will 15 % off any Cava, Prosecco, Sparkling
Wine, or Champagne. This goes for anything from Andre to
Cristal and everything in between. This is a great
opportunity to stock up for
the Pat’s Super Bowl run, the Celtics 17th Championship,
or the Sox back to back to the regular weekly mystery
discount you don’t automatically get the 15 % off unless
you mention it to the cashier and usually say something
crazy. But due to the writers strike I have nothing
original and will spare you the embarrassment from this
week. Just be sure to tell the cashier that you are
buying the mystery specials wines.
